🌟 Melbourne Konkan Community Cricket Tournament 2026 – What a Day! 🌟



Monday, 11 March 2026 (Labour Day weekend) 
Webster Reserve, Point Cook was buzzing with excitement as 7 men’s teams and 3 women’s teams battled it out in a full day of league + knockout matches.

What made it even better?
👉 So many youngsters stepping up, showing skills, spirit and sportsmanship.
👉 Families & friends cheering loudly, bonding, laughing and making new memories.
👉 And of course… the biryani break that eased the mid‑day tension and fuelled the players for the rest of the games! 🤣🍛

🏆 Women’s Tournament

Stellar Sharks took home the championship, with Rising Stars finishing as runners‑up!
Truly inspiring to see our women come together, support one another and play with passion. 💪💙

🏆 Men’s Tournament

Due to time constraints, the final was played the following weekend — and Western Warriors emerged victorious, with Cranbourne Stars as runners‑up!
A well‑deserved win after a thrilling contest. 🔥

But the true winners?
👉 OUR COMMUNITY.
A day filled with joy, unity, competitive spirit and endless laughs — exactly what MKC is all about. ❤️

I was born and raised in the city of Mumbai, with two brothers—an older and a younger one. Though I grew up in Mumbai, my family roots are in Mangalore. My father hails from the beautiful village of Yekkar, and my mother’s side is from Permude. Mangalore has always felt like home, and some of my most cherished memories are from the school holidays spent visiting my grandparents, extended family and cousins I got married in 2004 and, in 2006, my husband Jerry Fernandes and I moved to Melbourne. A Successful Evening of Connections at Our First Singles Dating Event!

We are thrilled to share the success of our first-ever singles dating event, which took place recently at Duke of Wellington Pub in Melbourne CBD. It was an evening filled with laughter, conversation, and the beginning of many new friendships. Neel Carvalho, our fantastic MC for the evening, ensured everything ran smoothly, guiding participants through a variety of fun icebreaker games that kept everyone engaged and comfortable. From the moment our guests arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant, with everyone eager to mingle and make new connections. The event kicked off with an energetic round of  Two Truths and a Lie, where participants had the chance to share interesting facts about themselves and guess what was true. This set the tone for the afternoon of open conversations and genuine connections.
