Celebrating Community and Faith at the Konkani Mass

Thank you to everyone who joined us in large numbers for the recent Konkani Mass! It was truly wonderful to see so many come together to celebrate. Moments like these are what make our community so special.

Your guidance and spiritual leadership were deeply appreciated. We also extend our gratitude to everyone who participated in the fellowship afterwards. Sharing tea, coffee, and delicious treats while connecting with one another made the day even more memorable.

We encourage everyone to bring a plate of goodies to share during our post-Mass tea and coffee fellowship. Let's make this a day of spiritual reflection, community love, and shared joy. 

We also had the pleasure of celebrating three special birthdays during our last Mass. It was a joyous occasion, and we look forward to celebrating more milestones with all of you in the future.

I was born and raised in the city of Mumbai, with two brothers—an older and a younger one. Though I grew up in Mumbai, my family roots are in Mangalore. My father hails from the beautiful village of Yekkar, and my mother’s side is from Permude. Mangalore has always felt like home, and some of my most cherished memories are from the school holidays spent visiting my grandparents, extended family and cousins I got married in 2004 and, in 2006, my husband Jerry Fernandes and I moved to Melbourne. We are blessed with two wonderful daughters, Shania and Kiara. When it comes to hobbies, I love traveling—especially to places with mountains or scenic views. These awards aim to applaud and honor individuals who have not only excelled in their respective fields but have also made a significant impact on our community.
