Celebrating Success: MKC (Masters) Runners Up in GOAV Inter-Village Soccer Tournament


We're excited to share some fantastic news from the recent GOAV Inter-Village Soccer Tournament, where our MKC teams showcased their talent and sportsmanship on the field! Held at the picturesque Flemington Cricket Oval in Parkville, Victoria, the tournament provided the perfect setting for a day of spirited competition and community bonding.


Despite minimal practice time, MKC managed to assemble two impressive teams that made a significant impact throughout the tournament.


Under glorious weather conditions, our players exhibited remarkable teamwork, determination, and skill, earning admiration from fellow participants and spectators alike.



Our teams, demonstrated exceptional prowess, winning two games in the league matches. In a nail-biting final, the Masters Team narrowly missed securing the championship, bravely taking the game to a penalty shootout and falling just short of victory by a single penalty. Nonetheless, their remarkable performance earned them the well-deserved title of Runners Up in the Masters division.



We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Goan community for extending the invitation to participate in this thrilling event. Special thanks to Jerry Fernandes for his invaluable assistance in coordinating and bringing together our talented team.


One of the most inspiring aspects of the tournament was witnessing the active participation of numerous youth players from our community. Their enthusiasm and dedication bode well for the future of MKC soccer, and we eagerly anticipate nurturing and expanding our soccer program to include even more players in the coming years.



To all who attended and supported our teams, thank you for contributing to a memorable and enjoyable day of sportsmanship and camaraderie. Let's continue to celebrate our achievements, build on our successes, and strengthen the bonds within our community through the spirit of sports.

I was born and raised in the city of Mumbai, with two brothers—an older and a younger one. Though I grew up in Mumbai, my family roots are in Mangalore. My father hails from the beautiful village of Yekkar, and my mother’s side is from Permude.
