Celebrating the Spirit of Palm Sunday: MKC's Khursachi Vaat


We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who joined us today for the profoundly moving "Khursachi Vaat" Way of the Cross event. It was a day filled with spiritual reflection, community fellowship, and heartfelt gratitude.


First and foremost, we express our deepest appreciation to Father Jacob Alvares for leading a beautiful Konkani Mass, imbued with the essence of Palm Sunday. His poignant message resonated deeply with all attendees, setting the tone for a meaningful journey through the Way of the Cross.



Nestled amidst the serene surroundings of the Ta Pinu Shrine in Bacchus Marsh, the venue provided a picturesque backdrop for our spiritual odyssey. Surrounded by the tranquility of nature, we embarked on a journey of faith and contemplation.


The weather could not have been more perfect for our Way of the Cross procession. Families from near and far came together, each taking turns to read and reflect upon the stations, creating a sense of unity and shared devotion. To all who participated, we extend our heartfelt thanks for enriching this experience with your presence and prayers.



Following the Mass, we had the pleasure of indulging in delicious samosas and hot cross buns, courtesy of Fergusson Plarre. Their generous contribution added a delightful touch to our post-Mass fellowship, enhancing the warmth and camaraderie of the occasion.


Lastly, we extend our gratitude to everyone who made the journey from far and near to be with us today. Your presence truly made this event a memorable and meaningful one.



As we reflect on this special day, let us carry the spirit of Palm Sunday with us in our hearts and minds, spreading love, compassion, and unity in our community and beyond.

I was born and raised in the city of Mumbai, with two brothers—an older and a younger one. Though I grew up in Mumbai, my family roots are in Mangalore. My father hails from the beautiful village of Yekkar, and my mother’s side is from Permude.
