I would like to take this opportunity to invite and encourage all Konkan community people to enrol and take MKC membership.
I thank MKC for giving me an opportunity to be the President of this organization this year.
I have been an active member of this association for the last five years and last year I was elected as the sports secretary. Being a part of this organisation and the contribution we make to build and strengthen our community here in Melbourne motivated me to become the President. I thank all the committee and community members for their support and encouragement.
As president this year, I would like to continue the legacy of the previous presidents and make every effort to raise to the standards set by my predecessors.
Some of the areas of focus are our youth, Health and wellbeing, cross community interactions and expansion of Flavours of Mangalore. We would like to pave the way for our youth to become active members of the community and would like to focus on this during my tenureship.
We have plans to reach out to the other communities in Melbourne and want to do events in collaboration with them.
Seeing the success and the positive feedback received from the Flavours of Mangalore events we do have plans to make it a large scale event to accomodate people from all communities.
Thank you everyone for your continuous support and request the same in the future so that I can work towards the betterment of MKC and our community.
I encourage you to join MKC and connect with our community. Looking forward to meeting you at our events
Vincent D Costa
