  We had an absolutely wonderful day celebrating the start of the Christmas season at the Djerring Community Hub in Flemington . The weather was perfect, and our hearts were full as our amazing community came together to prepare for the arrival of Lord Jesus . ❤️ The kids had the time of their lives with balloon twisting , fun games , and delicious food —their joy truly made the day special. The atmosphere was full of excitement, thanks to our talented MC Sharal D’Çosta , who engaged the community so beautifully. A true gem we have discovered! 🌟 We were blessed with Konkani Christmas carols , and a heart-warming Tableau performed by the children and youth of our community. Their effort and spirit brought the true meaning of Christmas alive. One of the highlights of the day was the endless spread of homemade kuswar, sweets, and bakes —all lovingly prepared by our community members and shared with everyone. Friendly, hardworking, and always the first to help, Dolpey has been an active supporter of MKC for many years, and we are excited to have him on the 2025 committee!   👩‍👦 About Me: I’m a mum of two amazing boys! Grew up in Dubai 🇦🇪 and moved to Melbourne 10 years ago. Love music 🎶, reading 📚, travelling ✈️, and of course, my mum’s home-cooked food 🍲❤️. I also love my 2 fur babies Levi and LExi 🌍 Roots: Mum’s family is from Urwa, Mangalore 🏡, and Dad is from Bajpe, Mangalore. 🍛 Favourite Mangalorean Dish: Nothing beats my mum’s special biryani 😋 and pathrade! 💛 Why I Joined MKC: I joined MKC to stay connected to my roots, speak Konkani 🗣️, and involve my family in our community.
