MKC’s Annual Sports Day 2025 – A Day of Fun, Food & Fierce Competition!
On a bright and sunny Labour Day Monday, the Melbourne Konkan Community (MKC) gathered once again at Webster St Reserve, Point Cook, for our much-anticipated Annual Sports Day! With an early 8 AM start, Mangaloreans from all across Melbourne arrived, full of energy and excitement, ready for a day packed with sports, laughter, and community bonding. And of course, what’s an MKC event without food? The morning kicked off the right way—with a delicious spread of idli, sambar, and sheera, fueling everyone for the action ahead. By 8:45 AM sharp, the games were in full swing, with teams competing in cricket, and throwball, all while the crowd cheered them on. As the afternoon sun blazed, a hot and flavorful biryani was served for lunch, bringing smiles all around. It was fantastic to see everyone enjoying the feast while sharing stories and laughs.
