Introducing our newest President

Our KYC ( Know your comittee) series kicks off by introducing our newest President Vincent D'Costa Taccode. Born and brought up in Taccode Moodbidri. I did my primary education from St Joseph Primary school Taccode went to Adarsh High School Taccode for my high school education, Completed my Pre Univerty education Jain Junior college in Moodbidri and then moved to Mumbai for my technical education and then did my B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Bits Pilani Dubai. I love sports and enjoy playing cricket, badminton, and chess. During my free time, I like to explore my skills in cooking and spend time with family and friends. I love chicken sukka, Rice Shavigae with Chicken in coconut curry, and Vorn.  I would like to take this opportunity to invite and encourage all Konkan community people to enrol and take MKC membership. 12th Annual General Meeting of Melbourne Konkan Community (MKC)

  Melbourne, Oct. 15:   The 12th Annual General Meeting of the Melbourne Konkan Community (MKC) was held on Sunday - October 15, 2023 in the parish hall of St Joseph’s Church Northcote to elect their 13th president, core committee members, supporting office bearers and general members for the year 2023-24. Stephen P. D’Souza, the Chairperson and Returning Officer welcomed the gathering and oversaw the Annual General Meeting (AGM) proceedings. The AGM commenced with a prayer and a hymn, thanking the Lord for His choicest blessings during the past year and invoking blessings for the coming year. The minutes of the previous AGM were read by the outgoing Secretary Rita Fernandes which was confirmed and passed. In his President’s report, the outgoing President Loyal Andrade gave a brief description of the various activities conducted during the year on a grand scale, having introduced ‘Women’s Wellbeing Day’ and ‘Flavors of Mangalore’ both of which were grand successes.
